Wall Street tumbles Monday amid anxiety on coronavirus, Bernie Sanders

Sam G. Huszczo, a chartered financial analyst in Southfield, said Monday that the U.S. economy has been strong for several years but we’re now at the late stage of the game.
As a result, he said, many investors are keeping a watchful eye on the health of the American consumer to determine how much longer the stock market can continue to expand.
As we inch closer to the presidential election, some anticipate that more uncertainty that could affect the consumer and possibly drive down spending, Huszczo said.
According to the surveys, he said, consumers are facing growing uncertainty driven by the coronavirus, as well as potential political change. But those concerns are relatively mild at this point.
