With an approximate daily readership of 2.6 million, USA TODAY has the 4th largest circulation of any newspaper in the United States. USA TODAY’s Best Financial Advisory Firm is awarded to the top registered investment advisory (RIA) firms in the United States based on two dimensions:

• Recommendations from financial advisors, clients, and industry experts: Recommendations were collected via an independent survey among over 25,000 individuals. Clients, industry experts, and financial advisors working for an RIA firm could recommend the RIA firms they find commendable.

• Development of Assets under Management (AUM): Both short-term (12-month) and long-term (5-year) AUM development were analyzed using publicly available data.

During this uncertain economy and volatile stock market, you may want to turn to a financial adviser. But picking one can be nearly as challenging as putting together a balanced investment portfolio. Methodology

The recommendations for each RIA firm are summarized and evaluated anonymously. In addition to the survey results additional metrics (e.g., data in relation to assets under management (AUM)) will be included in the final analysis.
